Purposeful vs decorative
Most of the traffic signs are decorative.
Some traffic signs have a purpose and are necessary for the traffic and transport in order for it to work properly.
All signs with a purpose are explained below.
Those traffic signs will not do anything yet, and might have to be replaced later
Main road
Purpose: Tells traffic where is the main road, and who has priority at intersections.
Give way
Purpose: Tells traffic where to drive slower and stop if necessary, and give way.
Speed limits
Purpose: Tells traffic how fast it can drive.
If the car passes this sign it will adjust it's speed. The speed will be overwritten at the next intersection with the regular city driving speed limit or by a new speed limit sign. This feature is still in development!
Trams will not look at those signs.
For trains there is a different speed sign.
Pedestrian crossing
Purpose: Tells traffic where are pedestrian crossings.
